NSA Mixtape Bike Ride protests NSA surveillance of data

On the 4th of July, the “NSA Mixtape Ride” began at We-Act Radio’s 1900 Martin Luther King Ave office in Anacostia. After winding its way through Anacostia, the ride took to the freeway to cross the 11th st Bridge.

A sound bike towed a heavy sound system with two “boom tube” subwoofers that made the music and commentary audible to most of the dozens of riders present. The speaker tubes made the sound trailer look like some kind of starship engines!

The audio track included actual testimony about PRISM and other NSA surveillance programs, as well as spy and stalker themed music. Prominant at one point was “Every Breath You Take” by the Police.

Speaking of Police, they escorted the ride but took no action against it.
