An appearance at National Geographic by Secretary of State Kerry on the 18th of March drew protesters against the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline.

Kerry either was late to show up or entered by another side of the building. As Secretary of State, his is the member of Obama’s administration that would have to formally sign off on the Keystone XL crossing the US-Canadian border.

It now appears that 350.org and other opponents of the tar sands pipeline have decided to dog Obama and Kerry wherever they make public appearances until this pipeline is stopped. This reminds me of the way MAYDAY DC used to pursue former Mayor Williams, who opened Franklin Shelter in a desperate bid for relief after having 14 campaign fundraisers in a row disrupted and some of them broken up.
