Afternoon HLS demos catch security by surprise
On Friday, the 28th of May, DC area animal rights activists staged a series of suprise HLS protests at Novartis, Astra-Zenica(these two in one building), Sanofi-Aventos, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. All three buildings were entered as security got caught napping!

Hoechst AG which helped found IG Farben, later turned into Aventis with a merge with Rhône-Poulenc
They sold their Crop science company too Bayer and later merged with Sanofi-Synthélabo to form Sanofi-Aventis
The protests were not a surprise to everyone, as the undercover car with Virginia tags was spotted in each location. Protesters suspect this is Vincent Antignano or another member of the Perince William County, Va based FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. As usual, this guy was camera-shy and drove away in a big hurry when confronted with a camera.
Interestingly, he seems not to have passed on his info to building security, as not one of the targets got enough advance warning to lock their doors against being entered by protesters.
It was at Bristol-Myers Squibb that uniformed cops first appeared-at the day’s final target!
BACKGROUND:
HLS or Huntingdon Life Sciences is a contract animal testing laboratory that kills 500 animals a day testing products like bleach and Splenda. Seven undercover investigations have produced photographic proof of “researchers” swinging beagle puppies by their hind legs and punching them in the face, among other horrors.
May 28 marked a global day of action against HLS, their customers, and their investors such as Fortress. The loss of one more major customer or the calling in of Fortress’s loans would probably be enough to finish off HLS for good!
